As an employee at many chelsea galleries as museums from I often gave insider information* about artwork to Shjeldahl only to see him chicken out and reference the official press release instead.; so many times.
*nothing cruel, just useful things like, for example, the jorge pardo wood installation at dia he was looking at in 2004 was actually almost 50% incomplete because pardo had failed to fabricate and ship all the parts and instead just sent a fax from california that said to Just do what you can with what you have.
