“Pageant! A Holiday of Atrocities”

Walk Dis Way

A cautionary tale for studio artists everywhere: SHRED YOUR GARBAGE.

Last year, an enterprising member of NYC’s Endless Love Crew rescued a number of original photographic test prints by Anthony Goicolea from a garbage dumpster in Brooklyn. Various members of the crew, along with a few select friends, were invited to redecorate Goicolea’s work. (Click on the photo above to view a screen-size image of my craptastic foto.)

Walk Dis Way, an Endless Love Crew remix of one of the Goicolea photos, will be on view this Saturday, November 17th and Sunday, November 18th, 2007 at Pageant! A Holiday of Atrocities, a group show at Ad Nauseum Lyceum at Studio 717 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Goicolea’s gallerist will no doubt be thrilled.
