Skewville hits the slopes outside of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ad Deville, one half of the intrepid street art duo Skewville recently hit the road for some truly astonishing sneaker tossing in Utah, Michigan and NY’s Hamptons. In addition to the travels, there’s some rumbling that Deville’s defunct Orchard Street Art Gallery, once a hub of all things underground on New York’s Lower East Side, will be reborn under a new guise somewhere in Brooklyn. Stay tuned.

Skewville in Utah: Ad Deville tells us that this was no easy placement. He wandered around the mountain lugging his wood kicks for five days before he found a spot. (Turns out there aren’t that many telephone wires on ski runs.)

Hanging by the Heidelberg Project, in Detroit, a community arts project begun in 1986 by Sam Mackey (now deceased) and his wife, Karen Guyton. Over the years, the city of Detroit has demolished parts of these installations, but Heidelberg keeps coming back.
