In an episode that should have Henry Luce spinning in his grave, Looking Around Jedi Master Richard Lacayo invited me to do a guest post on Time.com about my “therapy” appointment with artist Bert Rodriguez at the Whitney Biennial.

Read all about it.

Then, if you feel that strongly about it, come back and click through to Looking Around again – just to show all those patrician punks at Time Inc. that C-Monster is totally killing it.

xox, C-Mon.

And we’re back…

Ceci n'est pas C-Monster
Ceci n’est pas C-Monster: Minute 48 of being on hold.

Due to various technological hiccups, burps and other sorts of electronic gaseousness at Yahoo headquarters, my site has twice been hijacked by some smirky sorority chick offering business solutions. To be clear: the accounting department here at C-Monster.net take domain registration and web hosting bills very seriously and they are always paid promptly and on time. This is purely a Yahoo problem, which they swear up and down, has finally been fixed. Though, naturally, I spent a whole lotta time on the phone before this happened.

Here’s a sample of Yahoo’s hold music, just in case you were wondering.

Anyhow, back to business. There’s lots to do…

xox, C-Mon.

We are experiencing technical difficulties.

Please hold on tight.

Update: Due to a server hiccup at Yahoo, the site was hijacked by some B.S. page this afternoon. Thankfully, it has all been taken care of and we are now back to monkey business as usual.

The Upper East Side Garden, Miami’s best cheap and artsy hang, is having their one year anniversary party this Saturday, March 22nd, 2008, starting at 7pm. Jacin Giordano has created a brand new hazard for the garden’s artist-designed mini-golf (which also includes pieces by Daniel Arsham, Cristina Lei Rodriguez and Hernan Bas). On the musical roster are performances by Perspects, Romulo del Castillo, John Hancock and Otto Schirach, as well as DJ sets by Plot and Nektar. There will even be a miniature horse in attendance. Cover is $10 (and includes beer!)

Get the full details on the Garden’s website.

The Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery in NYC has an interim show up prior to Armory-palooza that is definitely worth checking out. It’s a gathering of high-tech pieces by their stable of artists, which includes Jim Campbell, Marina Zurkow, Vuk Cosic and Monika Bravo. Expect lots of super-cool visuals designed to inspire the little stoner that lives inside each and every one of us.

Click on the pics to make ‘em large. Money shots after the jump.
