- I have no idea what the hell the Guardian is talking about: The writer in this story describes a “reverence” for preserving graffiti in NYC and offers as his examples two private murals discovered while repurposing old SoHo buildings into luxury condos. One of the murals, by Keith Haring, will be used to add an extra $100,000 to the apartment’s sale price. All of this in a city that continues to demand that building owners buff graffiti from their walls or face fines.
