- Some people have been getting their panties in a knot over the Brooklyn Museum’s paid Twitter feed, 1stfans. I personally don’t think it’s a big deal. It’s a fundraiser for the museum at a time when museums desperately need the dough. Plus, it’s not as if it’s a thousand dollars. It’s $20 — a.k.a. the price of five lattes. Besides, the museum has a free feed here.

when i worked for dia until 2004 i managed bill dillworth at the earth room. i spoke to him only when he would arrive and depart for each season, the rest of the time he was truly on his own. a wonderful person; i’m glad to see him getting some recognition.
Didn’t Marvel already get all the “first gay superhero” ink they needed when they had Northstar come out in the early 90’s? There’s a ton of gay superheroes out there, even a whole company, Prism that releases LBGT-themed comics – I used to have a giant mug of theirs that said “Homo Superior” on it. Damn I miss that mug.
Is it wrong to love the whole concept of Jeff Koons at Versailles? The photos of the interior spaces (w/ Koons’ reflective works) are just great.
